Sausage and Peppers

Chef Giovanni, of Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace, shows News 12’s Lily Stolzberg how to make Sausage & Peppers in marinara sauce.

INGREDIENTS
1 pint marinara
¼ cup Olive Oil
Pinch Black Pepper
½ tsp. Salt
½ tsp. Oregano
1 tbs. Garlic (Finely Minced)
1 ea. White Onions (sliced)
1ea. Green Peppers (sliced)
1 ea. Red Peppers (sliced)
6 links Sweet Sausage with Fennel

Directions
1. Place the sausage links onto a grill pan.

2. Once the sausage is marked on all sides, remove them from the grill and place onto an oven safe tray.

3. Place the tray into a 350⁰ oven for about 7 minutes or until the internal temperature is 145⁰.

4. Once the sausage is cooked remove the tray from the oven.

5. In a sauté pan, heat oil and place the peppers and onions in the pan and sauté for three to four minutes.

6. Add the garlic and sauté until aromatic about 1 minute.

7. Once the garlic is aromatic add the sliced sausage and sauté for 1 minute.

8. Add the marinara and mix until all ingredients are fully incorporated and simmer for two minutes.

9. Remove from heat and serve.
